Scholarship & Honors Information:

**JUNIORS and SENIORS - Presidential Classroom- due as soon as possible. Information and application forms are available in the Counseling Office. This program sends students to Washington, D.C. for a week. Each week has a different theme and cost. Students selected will have the $150 registration fee paid by the Independence School District. The remaining fees and costs (estimated $2000) will be paid by the student (who will also receive fundraising suggestions).

**Juniors and Seniors � second annual �Agenda KC� Leadership Conference on November 21, 8:00am to 1:30pm. Must register by November 7th. See Ms. Kelley in the Counseling office.

University of Missouri College of Engineering � Mizzou Engineering Awareness Night, Tuesday, November 18th, 7:00-9:00pm at Garmin, 1200 E. 151st St, Olathe. RSVP to 573-884-3403 by November 14th.

UMKC Trustees� Scholarship Program � deadline November 15th � FOUR YEAR FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP. WCHS students have received this scholarship (Jace Ferguson �05). Must have two of the three: 30 ACT, top 5% of class, or 3.5gpa in the core high school curriculum. Applications are in the Counseling Office.

John Olivarez $500 Scholarship Award Essay Contest � 500 word essay on �A Dream That Changed the World.� Submit essay and application form to Counseling Office by December 1.
